We are now 4 weeks into our new house build. This is an exciting time for us. We have always lived in old houses - coped with the dust and the chills of draughty hallways and leaking windows and doors. Enough I cried. I want to live in a smaller, warmer home. Osneloc House which we loved for its history grace and charm had 5 bedrooms, 14 ft ceiling studs and over half an acre of garden.

We are building an enegy efficient house - double galzing, double insulation, polished concrete floor as a heat source, photovoltaic cells for electricity and a wetback fire for the winter. Two bedrooms and a study and large open plan living space. Framing is up and roof on next week. In by mid November. And gardens to be planned with a raised vege bed along the back wall.  It is U shaped with large inner patio.
